The update from EC will lower the temperature at which the mini PC fan kicks in from 40 degrees to 30 degrees, and it will run at a lower speed. This will prevent the fan from repeatedly starting and stopping when the mini PC is idling at 40 degrees. Mini PCs produced after March 18, 2024 cannot use this update.
