How to upgrade the bios?

Updating the BIOS is risky, and once you start updating it, you can’t interrupt it. Power outages, shutdowns, using incompatible BIOS data, or computer malfunctions can cause the BIOS update to fail, resulting in BIOS data errors and making the computer unable to start. Repairing BIOS data is troublesome, and it’s generally impossible to do it yourself without professional skills and equipment. Therefore, before updating the BIOS, you must confirm the product and CPU model and ensure that the computer is connected to a stable power supply.

First, find the model of the device you need to update on the support page

Then, download the BIOS from the download page, and at this point, make sure to double-check the model of your device and the model of your CPU.

After the BIOS download is complete, you can unzip it to the desktop and run BIOS.bat as an administrator to update. Once the update is done, the computer will automatically shut down or restart. After restarting, the files on the desktop can be deleted. The first time you boot up the computer after the BIOS update, it may take a bit longer to start, up to 15 minutes. This is normal, so please don’t repeatedly force it to shut down or restart, as this could damage the computer.

If the BIOS you downloaded doesn’t include the BIOS.bat script file, then you need to use a Flash Disk to update the BIOS.

  1. Insert the Flash Disk into the mini PC. Format the Flash Disk to FAT32 format.
  2. Copy the files from the downloaded BIOS to the Flash Disk.
  3. Restart the computer, and keep clicking F7 over and over again as the computer boots to enter the boot menu.
  4. Choose to boot from the Flash Disk, and the BIOS will automatically start updating. Be careful not to interrupt the update or remove the Flash Disk.
